Membership |

General Membership is open to all environmental educators ,teachers, organizations and persons who foster the purpose, mission and objectives of the organization. The framework of the Virgin Islands Network of Environmental Educators (VINE) consists of groups promoting effective stewardship of the Virgin Islands community through environmental education. These groups may include:

K-20 Educators This group may include home school, elementary, secondary and university educators and administrators from the Virgin Islands public and private schools.

Natural& Cultural Resource Organizations: This may include local and federal governmental agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

Stakeholders: Groups are comprised of organizations, individuals and the private sector who have an interest in environmental stewardship of the Virgin Islands. Example: Department of Tourism, marinas, hotels, local dive ships, Ayee Tours, Clipclop Tours. |

To provide support and resources for comprehensive and coordinated environmental education programs. To compliment existing environmental programs. To promote the development of a more comprehensive environmental education curriculum. |

To support sustainable use of natural and cultural resources in the U.S. Virgin Islands through environmental education. |

Objectives |

Decrease fragmentation of effort and duplication across programs by building capacity for environmental education within the territory.

Create an environmental network linking K-20 Educators, Natural & Cultural Resource Organizations and Stakeholders to promote environmental education in the territory.

Create database and disseminate member, program and outreach information.
VINE Membership Meetings: There will be monthly meetings with natural & cultural resource organization members, representatives from K-20 Education, and/or representatives from Stakeholder groups.
Annual VINE Meeting: An annual meeting will be held every year with all K-20 Educators, Natural & Cultural Resource Organizations, and Stakeholder members. |
